FlashcardMaker.org

About FlashcardMaker.org

A flashcard maker that does the job and gets out of the way: type your cards, flip through them, send the link to your class, or print them double-sided. No account, no app to install, nothing behind a paywall.

Why it exists

Most flashcard sites start free and then move the useful parts behind a subscription: printing, unlimited cards, the study modes people actually use. We think the basic act of making and studying flashcards should not cost anything, and should not require handing over an email address first. So everything here is free and stays free, including printing and import.

How decks work

Who makes it

FlashcardMaker.org is built and maintained by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, working with Patrick White, who has been building free reference and tool sites for more than a decade. The same pair make MakeACrossword.org, MakeAWordSearch.org and OnlineListMaker.com.

The ready-made sets are checked against their sources: the Dolch lists against Dolch's published pre-primer and primer lists, the periodic table against the standard element symbols and atomic numbers (with US spellings, so aluminum rather than aluminium), the math facts generated by code rather than typed by hand.
